The magic weight of Hyperlite’s high-end skates is around 8 lbs, but it is where the weight is dispersed that makes the big difference. The Hyperlite Catalyst 2.0 Wakeskate is constructed with steel rods running the length of the board which vastly improves the rotation on flip tricks. A softer radius near the edge prevents the board from getting hung up in the water when a deck is most prone during shuv it tricks and you get a smoother ride.
