CWB Absolute Platinum Wakeboard 2008 – The Absolute Platinum Wakeboard by CWB has been making waves for years. Known as one of the most influential shapes in wakeboarding’s short life, the CWB Absolute shape will ride well for a beginner but also cater to the rippers out there. Continuing the tradition of awesome, the 08 uses longer molded fins that have a cupped shape adding additional bite on the edge. Included this year is a turned down rail for additional edge lock as well as a harder edger with a forgiving ride when flat. The first shape to use a center spine for landings, the Absolute Wakeboard started the revolution in Wakeboard shaping. What sweetens this package however is this is no mere Absolute Wakeboard. No, this is the CWB Absolute Platinum Wakeboard and that platinum makes all the difference. Constructed with a PT78 core, the platinum series trims more than a pound out of the deck by using far lighter foam, two full sheets of carbon graphite, and hollow fiberglass rods throughout. All of those things together give you an ultra stiff and ultra light deck that will react faster, pop harder and accelerate like a rocket.
