This bag is cut to fit around the wakeboard bindings. This allows it to form to the wakeboard and bindings and as a result the board stays put in the bag and does not slip around inside. This is a good thing. The downside of this is that there is less room to fit clothing towels etc than in bags that are a uniform thickness. You can still definitely fit gear around the board, but less than with other bags.
