It was my first time on a wakesurf board and I've heard nothing but great reviews on this one. Tried it out myself and loved it! I am now hooked on water sports! It was definitely beginner friendly and even the more advanced surfers I as with were capable of doing trick on it and had plenty of fun. Very versatile and fun board!

Although this was only my second time wakesurfing I now consider myself a recreational wakesurfer, not a beginner. The Hyperlite Broadcast Wakesurfer 2009 5'6" was perfect for me. I am 190 pounds, have very strong legs and am quite hairy. I think the hair contributes to keeping me warm and thus keeping me in the water for longer than most other humans.

When I started the day I couldn't surf behind the boat w/o holding onto the Proline LG 20ft 5-Section Wakesurf Rope 2009 but after 30 minutes I was flirting with the Wake hands free. This board helped me transition and get over the hump.
