For open-to-close comfort, the Synapse boot utilizes a custom fit pro liner that molds to foot shape, and an Ortholite footbed that adds under-arch support. Powerlace Pro Smooth gets boots tied up in one fluid motion when racing to score first chair, Adiprene sucks up hard park landings, and infused AgIon keep boots fresh.

Was hoping that these were going to be the boots, but they only feel good at the start. The lacing system for the inner liner does not stay tight and comes loose after a few runs. I have to stop and retie several times a day. I don't like the outer lacing system either. It takes as long or longer than a traditional lace and sometimes the slack inthe lace gets caught in my binding.

Also the liners feel like they have packed out more than expected. I usually wear a size 8 street shoe and theses are size 7s and they feel almost too big.

Great boot! Most of my time is spent in the bowls, tree runs, back country kickers and some groomers. Very little time in the park and the boot does fanstastic. HOWEVER... My only complaint is that the Synapse seems to be a LARGE volume boot. The width was perfect, the length was perfect BUT I could only get the Synapse to feel and fit perfect after I spent ANOTHER [$] on some super feet custom inserts that raise the bed of the boot up so that my feet fill the boots better. [...] If you have low volume feet, do NOT pick this boot unless you want to dish out extra cash for some inserts. Now that I've got the inserts made, boot feels fanstastic, just a bummer I had to spend an extra [$] to do so.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Durable. Good heel retention. This is my second pair. Used to only ride in Burton boots but after several years and models with inconsistent sizing and fit I am going with Salomon until they disappoint. Which I don't expect....

Perfect stiffness for the all around riding I do. Only problem is the liner lacing system is difficult to tighten all the way, so I usually need to tighten it again a couple hours in.

This is such a comfortable pair of boots.. Made from great material for warmth and comfort, I could wear these all day long and never get sore..

great all around boot. very comfortable and i felt great at the end of the day. not super soft, so if you're looking for the skate shoe fit, this isn't it. break in time was minimal for me. only prob was finding the right size. i sized down a whole size; but i have weird feet with a narrow heel and wide foot.
