Coombs worked with K2 for over two years on this new model, named in Doug’s honor. Doug Coombs: 1957-2006. A percentage of all K2 Apache Coomba ski sales will be donated to his wife, Emily, and their 3-year-old son, David. K2 will also donate a portion of the proceeds to the American Mountain Guide Association’s Chad Vanderham Endowment, which is focused on improving guide education and safety.
