Armada Alpha 1 Skis 2009: Armada’s patent pending Elf Shoe Tech—it's not just for fat skis anymore! The concept behind the design that makes the ARG and the JJ so versatile has been brought to its logical conclusion in the new Alpha 1. The Armada Alpha 1 ski is the first park ski to incorporate the extended tip and tail profile of powder skis. This construction dramatically enhances the Alpha 1 ski’s ability to butter jumps, press rails, and also allows this hardcore park ski to perform better in softer snow than ever before. In ski design terms, the era of reversed camber, variable sidecut skis was in its infancy. With the Alpha 1, the evolution of skiing has begun. Snag a pair of the Armada Alpha 1 skis today and start showing everyone on the slopes what survival of the fittest really means.
  • AR 50 Sidewall - ABS Sidewall meets Cap Construction-the best of both worlds. These capped skis are reinforced along the effective sidecut area with ABS material for maximum edge hold. This produces remarkable sidewall edge hold while significantly lowering swing and overall weight. The AR Fifty construction method is used exclusively on Armada’s patent-pending, rockered, sidecut-within-reverse sidecut ARG and JP vs. Julien models.
  • AR Core 2 - The benefit of Armada’s latest wood selection really shine in the AR Core 2. They redistributed the ultra-light wood laminates without the heavier AR Core 1 center laminate. The end result of this laminate configuration is a durable ski with considerably lighter swing and total weight.
  • 2.5 Impact Edge - This edge exists for one reason-it’s durable. It’s designed to resist breaking and tearing out from rock, rail, and whatever other abuse it might meet.
  • Comp Series Base - This World-Cup inspired competition race base is made for speed. Its high maintenance and designed for controlled environmental conditions like its race brethren.

Comments about Armada Alpha One Skis 2009:

i love these skis. as long as it isn't icy. there nice and stiff for the kickers but the early rise makes it easy to do Nollie's and butters. plus the early rise makes them do great all over the whole mountain. these skis are really weird, the side cut is different from any other ski. it will take you a few runs to get used to but after that there a blast.
