This board is cutting edge design. It has a sharply defined three stage rocker, with sharp edges on the outside and a smooth edge in the middle. This means that you can butterslide with it really easily (flat water 360s right off the bat) but that when you want to move you can lean and cut on the edge really easily.
This is the lightest board that I've ever felt. This means that aerials and jump 360s are really easy.
It looks super awesome. The chrome metallic covering is really cool. This is my favorite of all the boards I've ridden.

It took me about three rides to get used to the Ibex. i upgraded from a HL State package, and the difference was huge!
*The ibex has a lot more pop - especially on ollie's.
*this board rides loose until you bury the rail, then it rockets off.
*since the center section has a super-forgiving rail, you won't catch the front edge on landings nearly as easily. this also leads to very natural feeling lipslides.
*unfortunately, until i was familiar with the board, it would grab extremely hard when i didn't expect it to and i'd wipeout pretty hard. however, this went away as i rode more, and so the problem only plagued me for 2 or three sessions. now the board behaves perfectly.
otherwise - the board is fun to ride, forgiving until you carve hard, and you'll get plenty of air.

ABOUT Ronix Ibex Wakeboard 2009

The Ronix Ibex wakeboard is the widest board in the Ronix line with the most sidecut and an abrupt rocker line. Parks Bonifay’s pro model combines all of the speed and snap you would expect with a softer bevel in the center for added forgiveness and blends into a sharper bevel in the tail. The Ronix Ibex wakeboard rides as smooth as it looks. Bottom line? The Ibex is built to haul ass.

Special Features – Thin profile reduces swing weight. With a super wide profile, surface area balances out with more sidecut for the right amount of effective edge in the water
Rocker and Base Features – 3-Stage Rocker (angled with a flat spot): Straighter curve through the center with accelerated kick out the tips. The Ronix Ibex gives you smooth transitions into the tail section for a higher trajectory off the wake.
Construction – Compression molded foam makes for a lighter, more forgiving ride.
Rails/Edges – Center variable edge: quicker turns with a sharp rail while the softer underside bevel is more forgiving on landings. Tip/Tail variable edge: locked down feel without burying the edge on big cuts.
