I love this jacket! I was looking for something versatile that I could use for snowboarding and still get some wear out of it on the weekends at home. I also wanted something different and flattering! In person this jacket meets all of these criteria. I'm also constantly receiving compliments on it, and it's flattering to your shape, (i.e. from the side it shows that you are thin and not a bulging snow puff!) The coat has plenty of pocket space and is very functional. The only thing I would say is that it's a true shell, and still needs some layering even to wear for running errands on the weekend.

I love this jacket. It feels well and feels great. If you're looking to do your own layers, this is a great softshell jacket. 686 makes great stuff. My only complaint is that it has a somewhat boxy front, not fitted, but I think that works better for layers and freedom of movement. Great jacket.
