2008 Rossignol Premier Snowboard – Going up! Just when you thought Rossignol’s Premier freestyle shred stick couldn’t get any better, Rossignol pulls a fast one on you. Redesigned from top to bottom, the 2008 Rossignol Premier Snowboard is back in action and ready for more high-performance directional freestyle fun. They’ve added 4mm to the waist so you can kiss heel/toe drag goodbye, cut the running length shorter for faster transitions, and given the Premier a wider stance width for more balance. Throw in a progressive sidecut for superior edge grip, and you’ve got one heck of a freestyle board. The 2008 Rossignol Premier integrates a Thinwood Core for smoothness, Carbon and Kevlar fibers for earth-shattering pop, and a stone-ground, high-density base to let you reach ridiculous speeds. If you’re an advanced rider looking to slay the rails bigger than ever this winter, you just can’t find a better park and pipe plank than the 2008 Rossignol Premier Snowboard.
-
All-Mountain Freestyle Shape – Sidecut is still deep progressive for edge grip but slightly offset towards the tail for more stability at high speed; Shape is directional with a 1- to 2-cm insert set back for versatility; Tail is stiff for pop; Waist and Nose are softer for smoothness.
-
Deep Progressive Sidecut – The radius progressively gets longer as you move towards the nose, but it is centered and very short between the feet for instant reactivity and a consistent feel with riding switch.
-
Twinwood Core – Rossignol’s classic core made with 2 types of wood, Poplar and Fumé: smooth like butter, but with the pop of a skateboard.
-
Dual Torsion Box C/K – Split the core into 3 sections, lock 2 of them in a fiberglass sock, overlay them with strips of Carbon and Kevlar, top it off with a full wrap of fiberglass and what do you get? Punch, enhanced durability, ridiculous edge grip and forgiving edge-to-edge transition.
-
4.4 Sintered Base – This high-density stone-finished sintered base is fast, durable and a lot easier to service.
Stone Grind Base Finishing – This base is 2D stone structured for a very low friction rate and perfect durability.
