The Salomon SPX 45 is designed to ride anything with good style. The SPX 45 is Salomon’s most adaptable binding. Plush support–from the Ergo Frame strap, dual-layer dampening pads and overflow highback padding–keeps the ride comfortable even during choppy, icy or chattery sessions. Quick-response characteristics come from a 45 percent carbon-loaded tray and a semi-stiff molded highback, which features either striped stitching or a metallic inlay for a noticeable hit of style.

Composite 45% Base- This super-strength polymide base plate remains in good solid standing. The material mix is resilient and supportive, resulting in a nice ride and a base that will survive long seasons of hard-impact landings.

Filter Highback- Set as the energy link between highback and heelcup, this binding bushing is designed to absorb shock and filter vibration on heelside turns.
Optistream Technology- Result of 30 years of Salomon expertise on injected parts, our optistream technology applied to highbacks allows obtaining a more natural twist, and a lighter piece, maintaining the right level of back support.
3-D Ergo Frame- Fishbone construction–stiff on the X-axis but longitudinally forgiving–is the reason our dynamic strap blends both support and flexibility.

Bi Density Heel Padding- Lighter than ever, this new design combines the dampening properties of EVA and the responsiveness of a 3D molded polymer for a cushy ride.
Adjustable Toe Pad- Our two-level toe pad is easy to adjust and quick to fit. By placing an anatomically correct curve underneath each foot, toeside pressure is made more precise and turns are initiated with greater power.

Wrap Strap- Strap in faster with our convertible Wrap Strap. Slide in under the pre-linked ladder-and-buckle setup and secure the toe with a few simple slaps.
IMS Disk- Screw with your stance without losing your screws. Our IMS system holds mounting hardware securely to the disk in perfect four-hole configuration, saving time and eliminating the hassle of fumbling with your screw.
