Volkl Ac50 Skis + Marker Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings 2009: The Volkl Unlimited AC50 with Motion iPT Wide ride brings the versatility of wide, big mountain skis to a new height. The AC50s relatively wide, 85mm chassis is incredibly nimble on hard snow. Built for good skiers who want to bust through crud and cruise through powder, yet still have a ski that can truly rip the groomers.
  • Volkl Unlimited AC50 Men's Skis Videos
  • EXTENDED SENSORWOOD CORES: Created in a complex CNC milling
  • EXTENDED DOUBLE GRIP: In the signature Extended Double Grip Construction, dual chambers extend from tip to tail, providing more support for the edges, and enabling the ideal distribution of pressure to the snow.
  • POWERED BY TITANIUM: The top-of-the-line models in the VÖLKL Alpine ski range boast a special wood core tuning system all powered by titanium. Above and below the XTD Sensor Wood Core or XTD Wood Core, there is a layer of titanium reinforcing the ski and adding power and stability. The thin yet extremely strong aluminium alloy extends its unparalleled dampening properties particularly at high speeds.
  • iPT WIDERIDE_ Wide Ride improves performance in three key ways 1. The Wide Ride interface is 30% wider than the original iPT. It was developed specifically for skis 80mm and wider. 2. The toe and heel pieces for the Wide Ride system are the same design as those of the Marker Duke and Jester freeride bindings. The new components contribute to better perfor mance with a more secure wrap on the boot lug, and increased directional elasticity in the heel. 3. Lighter weight, shorter connection to the ski. Both the new toe and heel components are extremely light, allowing the skier to have a very wide ski that is as easy to handle and maneuver- able as a narrower system. This is al

Comments about Volkl Ac50 Skis + Marker Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings 2009:

I ski in the Pac. NW. and these skis do it all. They munch up the heavy Snoqualmie Pass crud like its an appetizer. When they are freshly-tuned, I'd ski on these before I skied on my dedicated Atomic GS skis on the groomers, and they held their own on the ice. These skis DEFINE "All-Mountain Versatile"

Comments about Volkl Ac50 Skis + Marker Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings 2009:

Skiied one day on my new pair so far and all I could say was "I'm in love!" Super carving, light and nimble in the bumps and crud, and they seem to make me want to go even faster. Haven't had them in powder yet, but in the broken up snow in some steep trees, they were a breeze.

Comments about Volkl Ac50 Skis + Marker Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings 2009:

I’ve demoed at least 6 different marks of skies this year. These are by far my favorite choice, closely followed by the Rossignol CX80. With the AC50 you can be styling on the groomers one second and tearing it up off piste the next. It’s incredibly nimble – I was shocked at how easy it took to moguls – carved through them like butter. For skiers that know how to ski, this ski rides.

Comments about Volkl Ac50 Skis + Marker Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings 2009:

I would recommend them for any advanced/expert skier who skis New Jersey through Maine. The "Unlimited" is very stable on icy/groomed conditions and seems to sail through powder on the sides of the run. I went from a of 187 Salomon Xscream to a 170 in this ski and was very haapy. Marker bindings were very easy to install and adjust.
