Hazmat is best everyday ski

Pros:

Durable, Fast, Good Carving Ability, Great Flotation, Lightweight

Cons:

Not for Ice, Scratches Easily

Best Uses:

ALL MOUNTAIN, Downhill, Powder

The Hazmat has become my every day ski for all conditions. Except maybe a 12" dump, when I switch to a powder ski, the Hazmat is awesome. I ski it in 6-9" of powder the otehr day and it was amazing. Also it is great on groomed terrain and cutting through crud. I have skied it both in Quebec and New England as well as in Utah and Colorado and it is awesome. When it was a sheet of ice, it was a little less stable than I would like, but in all other conditions it is a top ski - it gets great reviews and now I see why.

Got this ski at the end of last year and absolutely love it. It is light and responsive. Just floats in powder. PLus the bamboo core is one of a kind at this point. highly recommend!

Killer skis

My 181 hazmats are wider and lighter than my similiar K2s. Love them to death..... but the top sheet does scratch a little easy

• Construction - Fiber Reinforced Polymer – dense material under the binding area to increase screw retention and add rigidity/ Laminated Bamboo and poplar core - 3 bamboo stringers within the poplar core create a tough and light core that has incredible energy return and snow feel. This core will flex enough to ollie or butter with ease, yet has enough backbone to stomp landings or ride at high speed.
• Sidewalls/ Edges - HRC 40 Edges – a slightly lower hardness rating with a wider profile and larger anchors to dissipate heat and increase impact resistance/ 78 Degree Sidewalls – tough and affords the best combination of edge grip and turning ease/ UHMW Sidewalls – rugged and repairable sidewall material with a layer of rubber above and below for smooth riding and durability
• Special Features – Cab Forward Stance – progressive, more centered stance needed for spinning and riding switch/ P-Tex 2000 – fast and durable sintered base/ Duraclear Topsheet – tough and clear so you can still see the artwork after wrecking
