K2 has built the performance AT Ascent 8611 favorite by giving it a deeper sidecut. The 8611 Ascent is named after the height of the Himalayan giant K2 (measured in meters) and has been an incredibly strong seller in Europe. It features the same crud taming sidecut (103-70-93) as the Heli Stinx and stacks of carbon fiber put it in the bantamweight class. The stiffness has been increased to meet the demands of a locked down heel and alpine turn.
