Comments about K2 Apache Outlaw Skis + Marker Piston Bindings 2008:
These are a great pair of all-mountain skis. In the trees, they are rather agile and turn remarkably quick for a fatty ski. Not as stiff and physically demanding as, say the Volkl Unlimited, but still a ski for people who like to rip it. Holds edge well on groomers at high speed, although not extensively tested in these conditions. On moguls (tested here at Mary Jane CO, mogul capital of the US): I was surprised at how quick to turn the ski was and that it didn't feel excessively hard. These skis like to go fast and like aggressive skiers, although will act docile when not pushed hard. Overall, a great ski, originally way overpriced, bit now (Jan '09) a great deal in the 500-600 price range. P.S. Powder performance: couldn't really tell, since I tend to err on the dark side on powder days (snowboard).
