This fabric eliminates the need for a lining layer making the fabric in this jacket considerably lighter than conventional fabrics. Entrant also provides exceptional waterproof and wind protection. This is the best jacket I have ever purchased. It is lightweight, roomy, attractive and the hood keeps all the wind out (living in CO, this is a plus). It's withstood below zero temps with heavy blowing snow and I didn't feel a thing.
