After 45 years of skiing without helmets and attending Sonny Bono's funeral, this is the first and only helmet I have owned. Now I wear it always and almost forget it is on because it is so comfortable and unobtrusive. This is the only way to ski/ride for me now.

I love how sturdy and warm the helmet is. The dual vent system is very helpful. Sometimes my ears hurt a bit if I keep the helmet tight for too long. Overall, I'm very very happy with this helmet.

It's always a challenge to get my kids, ages
18 -23) to wear a helmet. My 20-year old in CO saw the benefit when she witnessed a friend taking a nasty fall that was mitigated by a helmet. I bought the Giro Omen for both my daughters. When their older brother saw it he wanted one too. Now all my kids are wearing this great helmet;it's cool enough to be fashionable. The outlet price couldn't be matched anywhere!

I had been resistant to wearing a helmet, but found this immediately comfortable and secure. It was very cold on the first day that I used it and I was impressed with the Omen's secure warmth.

I don't ski with tunes, so I can't comment on earphones.

I also like the look of it.
