Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

The Marker Duke allows you to access greater back country terrain more easily and the ability to enjoy the performance and safety of Alpine Bindings once you're at the slope. There is no comparison to the strength and rigidity of this binding to it's competitors. You'll be just as comfortable at the resorts with the same equipment. [...]

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

The Dukes can drive wide skis quite well, better than the Freeride Plus without flex and delayed response time. I use these on my inbounds/sidebounds setup because of the easy in/out and they keep BD Zealots (136-110-126) under complete control. Interface nicely with Garmont Axon AT boots too. Kind of heavy for touring though (my bc setup is Zealot/Dynafit).

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

The Duke has proven itself at The Las Lenas freeskiing comp as well as numerous days at Squaw. Only one release to date, so they work. These bindings make alpine trekkers seem flimsy.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

If you're a bit heavier like me (190-200lbs) and don't mind the extra weight while slarging up the back country, these are for you. They work amazingly well on and off the piste. Are durable as hell and although i am only [*] enough to put the din up to 14, it goes to 16.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

This is one of the best touring binding in my opinion. It is one of the first that has no play in the binding, that comes from the tour mechanism. This is a problem I have had with other touring bindings. You do give up a bit in terms of weight, but I think it is worth it as it more than makes up for it in performance.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

Mounted these on some Squad 89's and some Rossi S7 195's. The bindings haven't failed me save for blowing off one of the sides that hold the friction plate in place during a crash.
Although they're beefy for a touring binding, they are still a touring binding and have some 'play' in the system vs a traditional pair of clampers.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

The Duke is as good as any alpine binding for the downhill with the benefit of a touring function. Its a lot to lug up the hill but it's worth it, especially if you don't have Dynafit boots.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

This binding seriously destroys anything in its path. No other AT binding can handle the drops and variable conditions as well as the Duke. Marker nailed it on this one.

Comments about Marker Duke Ski Bindings (Fits most boots up to size 28.5 mondo) 2009:

I mounted these up on the Pontoons with big hopes for switching between lift access backcountry and touring. A year later I've only used it for lift access alpine skiing. I've never had a surprise release, so I've been stoked. I can't speak to it's use as a touring binding... not yet anyway.
