I had to get these as a last minute alternative to the Salomon Scarlet. While these boots aren't as flexy and freerider friendly as the Scarlets, so far (last 2 trips out before end of season) they offer a lot of adjustability in fit, flex and angle. I haven't tried my setup in all winter conditions yet, but for the two days I did, it was great. I especially like the microadjust buckles and the walking lever. My feet swell up sometimes and I also like to be able to adapt to sock thinkness. Sometimes for extra flex, I just keep it switched to "walk." Cushy and warm is the best way to describe the liners--I am looking forward to them next winter. They are reasonably lightweight and since I got a 20% discount because of mistake in my order, I love the price --[$] for an "intermediate" boot with a lot of high end features. Personally (although I don't usually worry about style/color if the gear works) I have to admit I like the feminine but not hyper girly style as well (smoke gray, gold and silver with swirls), not to mention they match my new black and gold Salomon Temptress twintips perfectly. Can't wait to really break them in next year, or...maybe I'll just head over to Chile this summer... :)
