Salomon X-Wave 8.0- Salomon's versatile all-mountain X Wave 8.0 boots are intended for advanced skiers who tend to freeride the whole mountain, stuff like the aluminum buckles are now replaced by lightweight titanium. Salomon recently revamped their Perfect Fit liners to include more soft foam along the liner and sole. The X Wave 8.0 offers Salomon's Spaceframe technology, a shell construction that softens the external part of the shell (those hex patterns) for precision and fluidity along your turns, and reinforces the instep for better power transmission. Spaceframe technology boots have a huge appeal for racers. The Salomon X-Wave 8.0 is a good choice for an all mountain skier who doesn’t need the stiffness of the X-Wave 10.0.

Salomon X-Wave 8.0 Technologies
Spaceframe technology- The asymmetrical softening optimizes new ski techniques: a softer external side for precision, fluidity & heightened feelings, a stiffer internal side for precise control & power
Advanced Chassis Technology (A.C.T.) - This unique chassis profile increases transmission & sensitivity. The foot position is elevated for better leverage & maximum edge angle
-
Shell & Cuff
Bi-material PU cuff- a reinforced rear/lateral insert allows the use of a softer front cuff for improved leg envelopment & progressive flex
Softex insert- A softex fiber layer originally from sailing equipment (funboard, kitesurf...) that is added on the internal part of the cuff to avoid the deformation of the plastic in order to improve leg wrapping
4 micro titanium buckles- fine tunes the buckle closure by turning the part that grips the buckle teeth. Titanium buckle: one of the lightest & stiffest buckles on the market with the addition of titanium material
-
Adjustment
35mm Strap- A PVC or textile velcro strap on the top of the boot that fine tunes the boot closing, to have a powerful leg wrapping
Single canting- The canting allows alignment of the cuff to the skier's lower leg shape. The lateral insert, canting and canting lock ensure no transmission loss between cuff & shell
3D buckle- This buckle personalizes the closure angle of the instep buckle depending on the individual foot shape. Envelopment is optimized and the foot is perfectly held in the chassis for increased control
-
Liner
My CF Sport- Thermoformable foam on the ankles and the tongue for a personalized and durable comfort
Loop on tongue- A loop on all our liners for easier step-in
