As a female 50 yr old recreational racer I wanted a stiff race shell fit with a good amount of forward flex but not a 150 flex since I weigh only 130 lbs not 200lbs. These worked wonderfully. I put custom footbeds in and had the little toe metatarsal area bumped out by my local bootfitter just a touch. With a narrow heal, wide toe, and high arches, these are a pain to put on and take off but once in I can buckle them down real tight for racing and have NO pinched or numb spots and NO extra movement in the boots. I can wear these all day out West, for mutiple days in a row with no problem, and they are twice as warm as boots with twice as much padding insulation in them! I'm actually not using my in boot heaters hardly at all. Wonderfull control and snow feel both in the gates and everywhere else on the mountain, your knees, feet, and skis feel like one connected driver. Two issues I do have are the overlapping arch/instep area on top of the boot needs to be trimmed down further to get my foot in without serious scraping (almost slicing) into my foot, and the outside bottom of the boot sole is really slippery and needs some sort of traction device added to it so you don't slip on every slick surface getting to the hill. Very dangerous. I would have prefferred to get a customizing kit with this level of boot but it didn't come with one like the falson 12 race model does. It should since they advertise that it's the exact same race shell, just a 110 instead of 120 stiffness rating. Oh, and the color is MUCH lighter than all the pictures show. It was a translucent bright red not dark red. Minor. . .

This a good boot-but it is packing out after about 20 days. I am very glad I did not get them punched out for my wide forefoot as per usual. Initially painful-but now just right. The flex is perfect for all mountain skiing.

A little tall for a shorter calf like mine-a consideration one should think about

A low-volume fit for sure. If it fits you it works like any good tool should. I`ve got thirty days on mine (2007-2008) and really like `em.

I just got the boot and have only skied it two days but I already love it. The boot is very comfortable and has a very even flex. Its not a stiff race boot or a super soft park boot, but an awesome boot for freeriding with a 110 flex. It would probably not be a great fit for a large foot, I have a pretty low profile foot and the fit was perfect the second I put it on.
