Comments about Salomon STH 16 Ski Bindings (115mm Brake) 2010:

Forever the Salomon S916 (or versions of it for those of you who still use your old din 16 and 20 Salomons) has been the gold standard of ski bindings. They have been the one constant in consistent performance. The STH16 has changed a touch with more composite materials and less metal but it is still very much a solid binding. Most people recognize that a DIN of 16 is higher than they will ever need but the real justification in purchasing this binding (besides looking like a bad posterior "would not let me say the A word" in the lift lines) is that you are going to have this binding for a long, long lime.

The spring is strong and isn't going to let you down. The toe piece has adjustable toe height and width and the heel piece adjusts precisely with screw threads instead of a tab and holes.

Sure, this binding could easily be deemed overkill for 99% of skiers, but if you are looking for a binding to get the job done every time and last you a really long time, then the STH16 is perfect.
